I'm currently in NYC and its getting very expensive for me. I'm looking to move but not sure where to. I'm looking for a waterfront city that makes strong use of its waterfront, strong nightlife(clubs and live jazz and blues)in concentrated districts rather than spread out, pro sports, and a cost of living between low end Chicago and low end NYC. Any suggestions?
Immediately San Diego comes to mind.
The "Gaslamp Quarter" is where 99% of the nightlife is. The other 1 % of nightlife is spread out through downtown with the House of Blues and other bars and restaurants
Possibly Baltimore, Charleston, Savannah, Tampa(Ybor City, Channelside), Jacksonville (The Landings), Memphis?(Riverfront) New Orleans (exceptional), Seattle(vibrant scene) LA(reviving what was once a huge scene) Oakland
