We're getting ready to move this Winter ... but to where is the question!

We'd like to move somewhere that's vegan-friendly, with cute small bungalow-style houses (like the older, turn-of-the-century-kind), at a decent price. I know for some $400k is "affordable" but we're talking under 200k for a little single family. Someplace where the winters are dreary and cold and the falls are colorful (LOTS of trees is a good thing!), with lots of diversity culturally and where nature isn't too far away. We are considering saint paul, but the big detraction is that it seems like you have to travel for hours to get to a nice state park. Somewhere that's not too big but where you get a sense that the economy isn't going to the dumps. Source of income doesn't really play into the picture at all.

Alot I know Does anyone know of anywhere that fits the bill?

You can get some smaller homes under 200K....

But I'm loving State College! Search for the thread in PA, or PM me.

Good luck!

What's your family situation? Single? Married? Kids?
