Default Home, land outblgs for 100k-150k anywhere?

Is there anyplace left in this country (that's doesn't have tons of snow, unbearable heat or natural disasters like hurricanes or tornado alley) where you can get a decent home, some acreage and a barn for $100,000 - $150,000 anymore? Just wondering if I can keep my horses when I retire or not.........

Maybe you could find something in the western southern part of West Virginia. Homes are pretty inexpensive there. There is some snow but not a whole lot. Possibly you could find something in the far eastern part of Kentucky too. Good luck in your search to find a home.

Take a look at the retirement forum to get some ideas as well.

Smile Home W/ 10 acres!

Hey, here is a home in rural Pennsylvania. You will have some snow, but no deadly hot summers or natural disasters. It is in Osceola Mills, Pa in Centre County and is less than 30 minutes to State College and Penn State Main Campus! It has 10 acres and a horse barn. The interior and exterior looks pretty well kept up. I think it's a steal at $149,900. It even has a 2 car attached garage, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and 2252 square feet. Take a look and good luck!
