It seems like Natchez, Mississippi preserved a great deal, but it might be too small for what you mean. Boston, Massachusetts and Savannah, Georgia look to have a fair amount of historical landmarks.
Boston lost a lot. Could've been worse, I guess, but it didn't survive urban renewal as well as it could have....
Nice photos. One can only imagine what the old West End of Boston would like today if it hadn't been redeveloped during the 1950s. It would have probably ended up a popular area like the North End today when older neighborhoods like that were once again appreciated later in the centruy....
I finally got around to visiting York, Pennsylvania. I think it is one of the most well-preserved cities I have ever visited. It's not a big city, but for its size, it packs a punch.
