What is this all about? Chicago is called the Second city for a different reason than what most people perceive. What I provided was facts. What about you?

I think Charlotte will have like 2.5 by then.

I'll do the rest later.

I doubt DFW and Houston will be that large though. This is confusing.
Yes, and add San Diego's metro (3,000,000) to Los Angeles' population .

4. Chicago - 14.3 million
5. DFW - 14 million
6. D.C. - 13.5 million
7. SF Bay Area - 13 million
8. Boston - 12.8 million
9. Atlanta - 12.5 million
10. Miami - 11 million
Those figures seem to be a little high for many places. The whole state of Texas is predicted to add around 8 million people between 2010 and 2030:

I don't think Chicago will have 14 million in its' metro by 2030 either.

BTW, to all the folks from Houston and Dallas with their eyes on surpassing Chicago. Maybe you should concentrate on DC, the Bay Area and Boston first. Also, with the rise of China there will be mega-cities that you never even heard of that will make a place like Houston seem like a small town. It's an increasingly global world and there will be a lot of competition from China and India in the coming decades.

Honestly, I really don't think LA and SF will be around in 2030, they are going to have multiple devastating quakes in the next 25 years that are going to bring them to their knees, That is fact.

How is that fact if it has happened yet?

Its actually very possible, those two cities shouldn't never gotten that big. The USA should abandon the west coast. I don't see New Orleans making it to 2030 neither.

It has to happen some time. It may be 25 years or 100 years but it will happen. I don't not understand the logic of building massive cities on a gigantic fault.

Aside from being ancient, according to this list, Houston will more than double in size in less than 20 years? Can someone slap the poster and the creator of this thread back into reality?
