Is this true? I've heard that Midwesterners are very proud of working hard and have little tolerance for laziness and see hard work as a very high moral point, while Westerners put great value into leisure and aren't so high-strung about working your tail off all the time.

Someone from Wisconsin on this forum said they noticed people in north central Montana were lazier!!! which makes me wonder if it's a thing common to the entire west and not just california, oregon and washington.

I noticed a general slowness, lack of proactivity and an inability to complete jobs around Saint Louis Metro Area.

When I moved to CA from NY the work attitude was a bit more laid back, but definitely not lazy. Things got done creatively and on time.

Could just be another case of "Urban vs. Rural" or "coastal vs.inland".

Although the "coastal" thing could be different if there's heavy ship-building and fishery industry involved.

because I lived there for two years and feel I wasted two years of my life that I can never get back. Worse place I ever lived.

Let's construct a strawman and debate it regardless of its merit.

How about: Texans are child molesters and Minnesotans are crack addicts.

Discuss.

I knew a guy from Minnesota who smoked crack. Point validated, generalization confirmed.
