I live in Southern California and want to live somewhere colder because I am scared of bugs. I am looking to relocate to somewhere that has jobs available, is somewhat in the country, and has 4 seasons. What is snow anyway? I think I saw it twice and it barely lasted long enough for it to melt. Anyone out there interested or even if anyone has good info about colder places to live, please let me know.

For me personally, if I really wanted "cold", four seasons and beautiful scenery, I think I would have to go with Colorado...maybe even Montana or Idaho. But I have always wanted to live in Colorado! However, I have lived in the 120+ degree Arizona desert for far too long, and I don't think I could handle the cold weather. We're looking at moving to East Texas. It snows there occasionally, but not enough to have to shovel it or anything...but it is still hot there.
Colorado is GORGEOUS!

NYC, Boston, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Philly, Denver, Boise, KC, St. Louis, Nashville, Minneapolis, Cincinnati, etc, etc. You might want to look into those. Of those, Minneapolis, Chicago, NYC, Boston and Denver probably have the best job prospects.
