If you will find the large grey panel in your garage or basement, it has a bunch of handles sticking out from the face, usually in two vertical rows. At the top of the two verticle rows of handles, there is usually a large handle, it will usually be marked MAIN. If its up, pull it down.
Immediately, your contribution to the 4 million tons of CO2 and 161 pounds of Mercury will go to ZERO and you can feel good again, knowing you are doing you part.

Tampa Electric Company's Big Bend power plant in Apollo Beach, FL. Its a coal burning plant. They have a cool manatee viewing center there. They love the warm water that comes out of the plant into the bay.

Actually iLoveMountains.org -- End Mountaintop Removal Coal Mining has a feature where you can type in your zip code and chose your electric provider and it shows you a Google satellite map of the mountaintop removal mines that feed your power plant.

The huge power line towers split apart the subdivision I live in.

DTE is the power company
DTE Energy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I have no idea what station is used, but I live by a whole bunch of Auto plants. So huge amount of power needs to be sent to my area.
