Which city is best for resale/thrift stores--including all the Goodwills, Salvation Armys and so forth? I am guessing L.A. is first and Chicago is second.
Does anyone here have a good opinon or done this in both cities?
I have searched on the web, but cannot come to a good conclusion.

Chicago has large thrift stores that sell all sorts of things for cheap. The Unique stores have three locations with many bargains, and are re-stocked almost daily. I think it's Mondays when almost everything is sold at half price. Most shoppers look for clothes and it's possible to get quality items for those who are patient. I have also bought several interesting books in these shops.

Default Most resale thrift stores

I know this doesn't answer your question but I have been looking for the best geographical location to start and operate a thrift store but have found nothing on the internet. Should you have any info. I would appreciate your help. Thanks.

The Twin Cities up here in MN is pretty generous people, in general.

30 (give or take) Goodwills in the Twin Cities here...and that's just the GWs. Not including all the other thrifts (and there are many of them).

(And yes, I know this is an olllllllllllllllllllllllllllllld thread.)
