In the U.S., I have found disappointing images on streetview, and some remarkably clear images. The clear images are so much more entertaining, obviously. I would suggest that Google go back and redo the fuzzy images first, then update the clear images later. Afterall, with the economy as it is, the images are not likely to experience big changes between say, 2008 and 2012.

That being said, I have found very nice clear images from Seattle, L.A., and NYC, (with the exception of many parts of Long Island.) Of course, it can be hit or miss, with some cities showing clear images, and the same cities hardly recognizable. The technology is great overall, I guess we can get spoiled.

These are some of the cities I checked out on Google Earth:
Bucharest,Romania
Riga,Latvia
Venice,Italy
Naples,Italy
Amsterdam,The Netherlands
Marseille,France
Odessa,Ukraine
Yalta,Ukraine
Prague,Czech Republic
St. Petersburg,Russia
So far, I found that the Odessa doesn't have as much detail as I would like Yalta even more so. St. Petersburg too. I found more detail in Prague and Marseille.
