I also find it interesting that few have put together how Texas has managed to secure such a stable economy.

Nebraska is right there. Omaha is rated #1, #2 and #3 best for all recession-based indicators and ratings.

That said, to have Texas ranked #1 in any recession-leading rankings says a lot about the state as a whole.
