Dan Rather was from Wharton, Texas (southeast Texas). But he did start his broadcast journalism there in Houston.

-Robert McNamara (1916-2009), former Secretary of Defense
-José de Jesús Noé (1805-1862), was the last alcalde of Yerba Buena, which became San Francisco after the Mexican-American War.

U.S. President Barack Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. In fact, he was probably born in the same hospital as I was (and as many people born in Hawaii), the Kapiolani Hospital for Women and Children.

The only person I can thing of actually born in Austin is Ciara, and she wasn't even here that long

Anybody else have some cause i'm drawing a blank. I know we have had a lot of re-located celebrities for our size though.
