Do you want a big city? It'll be easy to find a job in Management here in NYC. We have probably the best nightlife in the country. Overall, we're safe. We get a fraction of the snow other Northern cities get. And NYC is a perfect place for a young dude. We always have something to do. You never get bored and within an hours drive you have mountains a bunch of historic, hillside villages.

Can you name some +'s and -'s of all NYC boroughs?

close to the big jobs
public transportation
urban diversity--brownstones, 100 story buildings, etc.
nightlife
great dining and shopping

-'s of Manhattan:
expensive unless you go further uptown

+'s of Brooklyn:
history
Coney Island
diverse
dining
public transportation

-'s of Brooklyn:
Northern BK--homicides rose 64% in the last 2 years
Gangs, Mafia

Queens +'s:
ethnically and culutrally diverse
more affordable and middle class
public transportation (your own car would be fine, but not necessary)

Queens -'s:
there are some bad neighborhoods (Jamaica, Queensbridge)

Bronx +'s:
the Yankees!
public transportation
hillier up north and more suburban up north
affordable

Bronx -'s:
high crime (Soundview, South Bronx)
further from Midtown and Downtown

Staten Island +'s:
suburban for a family
green space, parks

Staten Island -'s:
Mafia
Ferry to other boroughs
