Howdy!
Can anyone suggest me a good state (and a city), where I could get a good job in management?
Also, that city must be safe.
I don't really care about snow in the winter, but warm weather would definitely be a plus.
What else... It must have some night life!
Some additional information (maybe this will help somehow?) - I'm 25 year old white, single male.
Thanks.

What about Oregon and Washington?
Is it true that it rains A LOT in Seattle?

Portland, Maine is a wonderful small city for young singles and everyone else for that matter. Yes there is snow, but not all that much. The downtown is very walkable, tons of restaurants and clubs/bars. Good shopping downtown and at the Mall. Freeport (LL Bean mothership) just 15 minutes north with tons more to do. Less than 2 hours to Boston.

It actually rains more in parts of Texas and Alaska than it does in Seattle. I think the natives perpetuate the rain myth to keep their beautiful home to themselves

Raleigh, NC. Lots of new market business jobs in your category, low crime rates, and a lower-than-average cost of living. You could probably find some nightlife in Durham, etc, as its a college town over there.

I WISH there was a day I could recommend Fort Lauderdale to you, but our job market is weaaakkkkkkk.

Seattle, only visited there, but it is not as bad as people say it is with the rain - from what I saw.

I live in Denver, CO - another choice you may consider. Colorado has the four seasons, outdoors, and nightlife for the younger crowds.

Ohio is a "white male" kind of state. As a plus, you'll remain single, as the local female population is nothing to excite you.
Ohio: good place for cheeseburgers, not women

Arkansas: definitely a white male kind of place. Shop at Wal*Mart, drive the truck with the dawg, beat the wife ...

OK, so I'll stop now.

... don't look at me, I'm a 25 year old single white guy who moved to Illinois as a result of grad school. Management jobs don't grow on trees, so let us know when you have two or three options at hand. Hopefully, they will be attractive, such as Chicago, Madison, and Seattle!
