As far as urban areas go, Albuquerque, Oklahoma City, and Tulsa have the largest concentration of Native Americans (around 4%) with smaller communities in Phoenix, Tucson, Denver, and Minneapolis.

For mid-size cities, Flagstaff, Arizona and Rapid City, South Dakota are both cities of around 50,000 people that are around 10% Native American (mostly Navajo in Flagstaff and Sioux in Rapid City). Billings, Montana is around 5% Native American. As far as rural non-rez areas go, the best bets are in northern New Mexico and select parts of South Dakota, Oklahoma, Arizona, Colorado and North Carolina.

Bemidji, MN is near 3 reservations and consequently has a relatively high Native population (about 13%). It's a town in NW MN with about 13,000 people. The nearest "big" city is Fargo, ND.

We live in Farmington,NM the rez is about 20 miles west of town navajo then to the north southern ute and ute tribes, and to the west apache the town is surrounded my Native Americans.

This is probably the largest area in the US for Indians period.
