I am traveling from New Jersey to San Diego, California. I plan on going through Virginia, Tennessee, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona and to California. Any suggestions as to tourist attractions, great places to stop and or eat at? Any help would be great !

Don’t pass up the opportunity to see Mammoth Cave in Kentucky also Carlsbad Caverns in New Mex. What’s underground is often overlooked while traveling. Each location will require a least a full day or more in time while seeing the caves so plan on spending time at all of the stops along your route. The Grand Canyon is another location in Az that is a must to visit and will require two or more days to enjoy seeing the sites.

What time of year will you be traveling? Because some attractions are open only during warm months. How many days will you allow? Are you planning to use all interstate highways? (Like I-81/ I-40)? What kinds of things interest you?

Will your trip take you through Knoxville? Do you like nature walks?
