Can't go wrong with San Diego.

You'll have plenty of fun and new experiences, and will both be married with kids, in a warm and interesting place in no time.

There are a bunch of cities to consider - pretty much any major city in the Sun Belt would suffice - but I would make my decision based first & foremost on the job prospects for your respective professions in a given city.

What kind of jobs would you be looking for? The two best overall suggestions I've seen so far are San Diego and Austin.

Would you share your definition of "warm" please? Are you talking about warm climate, and if so, what level of warmth are you interested in? Is high humidity an important factor? Or did you mean warm in the sense that people are pleasant to be around? Thanks for any clarification!

I was going to ask about warmth as well...people or climate, or both?

Chicago is a great city, but it's certainly not very warm regarding climate. I lived there in my early 20's and loved every minute of it. A huge variety of neighborhoods, lots of affordable options for two women in their early 20's, etc.

If I had to make a choice now, I would agree with San Diego.

Atlanta, Dalla, Houston, San Antonio or Phoenix if you want a warmish climate and a relatively decent economy.

Right now with the problems they're having in the state government I wouldn't recommend anyone in California..
