Why are so many posters on this Forum against cities/states of the Southeastern United States? People have a nack for starting unnecessary ____ vs _____ threads or "Whats better (This City) or (A Southeastern City). Why? Everyday life and places I have traveled I rarely hear people bash this part of the country (Any Part For That Matter) the way people do on here. Sometimes people are on here looking for positive answers and input and they paint the picture of such an undesirable place that it misleads people.

For Instance - "Miami is full of empty condo towers so it does not have a real skyline"
"Orlando is home to Disney and theme parks so it's not a real city"
not even too mention the countless amount of things people say about Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, some of the GREAT cities in our country. I mean what are you peoples issues with the southern cities? THEY ARE DIFFERENT. They obviously are not Rustbelt, or Northeastern, or Western cities, OBVIOUSLY. It could not be any clearer they that cities will not be the same once you visit or decide to move to them without being fed all the information you need too.

So do you people just hate the south because you have nothing else to do or do you all have real reasons? Just curious....

By Southeast I mean Texas,Florida,Georgia,Louisiana,Arkansas,Mississip pi,Alabama,NC,SC,VA,Tennessee, & Kentucky. Please just inform people (and myself) the issues you have with the south.

DC is NOT in Virginia. It is a separate jurisdiction.

The issue normally isn't with the urban core of the major SE cities like Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, and Miami.

The issue normally arises with the more rural and suburban (still rural compared to the NE and Midwest suburbs) areas. This is usually where the non progressives live and play.

I know this, but in terms of whether it is a Southern city (VA) or a Northern City(MD). It's a debate which I'm not sure about but being from Florida i consider D.C. southern.

Care to help me understand exactly what you mean? Sorry to seem like a dummy.

Are you saying that those areas are where the anti-socialists/anti-communists, and anti-degenerate lifestyle people live? If so, then that's my kind of place.

Why would you cheer on in this fashion?

"I like these northern cities because they are so "progressive" (aka: Socialist welfare havens and pro-homosexual degenerate behavior bastions). You don't support taking from people to give to the least deserving? How dare you be in favor of people keeping the money that they earn, when we have lazy people over here who fail to work who are so much more deserving. After all, it's the lazy leeches who help make us strong economically. Furthermore, what good are children to a city, with all those breeders and pro-family and pro-marriage individuals. Any place that supports such is not "progressive" and deserves to be put down".

I think that about sums it up.

I think he means educated. The south is not as educated as the NE. Economic growth is faster in the NE. The SE has seen economic decline in the last few years.

The South is really the only part of the U.S. worth saving from illegal immigrant slime and cultural Marxism.

Aside from parts of Northern New England and Arizona, the rest of the nation isn't fit to kiss the shoes of the South.
