New York, my starting place to which all cities paled in comparison until I grew up and opened my eyes. Since then: Providence, Asheville, Milwaukee, Fargo, SF, Seattle, Portland, Eugene.

In no particular order:

Charlotte, NC (My home. Some of the best people on Earth. Clean/green city. Great economy. So much to do, we're never bored. Low cost of living. Great 4-season climate. Absolutely love it here).

Washington, DC (Beautiful city. Great history. Never run out of things to see and do. Love visiting there).

Orlando, FL (We are theme park junkies and just love visiting there regularly).

Charleston, SC (Might be the best city of it's size anywhere. Stunningly beautiful and very rich history. Great restaurants. For a coastal city like Charleston, it has a very reasonable cost of living. Gorgeous beaches. It's my wife's and my "getaway" place).

Boston, MA (Where my wife was raised. Beautiful city with lots of history. Great harbor. Best pro sports town in America).

Asheville, NC - (Wonderful mountain area. Great restaurants. Biltmore Estate, the largest private home in America. Very outdoorsy. 2 national parks. Blue Ridge Pkwy. runs through the city, one of the most beautiful drives in America. Very friendly people).

Elkins, West Virginia.

Followed closely by Pittsburgh, PA; Morgantown, WV; Corning, NY; and Williamsport, PA.

Those are the cities I'd like to live near.

As far as visiting from afar I am pretty fond of Nashville and I'd like to visit Seattle someday.
