I agree. Prior posts were giving Miami too much of a high ranking for being liberal. Miami's population is predominately Cuban-American who more often than not have deep GOP roots. Granted we're not talking far-right GOP, but nonetheless "old-school right wing" coupled with Catholicism.

I dont mind people having their opinions, but I dont take anything seriously unless there has been at least an attempt at a diagnostic method. I can say all day that one city is liberal and one is conservative, but without some sort of relative study, its meaningless.

I feel like Dallas, Houston, and Atlanta are more similar than different. City proper I know Dallas is more socially liberal than Houston. We have one of the largest gay bar districts or something like that in the nation. City proper, all of these cities are pretty liberal, with the exception of Houston...but that's because Houston it it's own suburb (if that makes any sense). If you take the whole metropolitan areas into account I think Dallas is more conservative, but not by a lot.

so if you had to force me to list them, but that's just IMO.
Dallas
Atlanta
Houston

Exactly. The reason here is this:

Dallas, Houston and Atlanta are conservative because they're located in the south.
NYC, LA, SF and Boston arel liberal because they're located in the North and West.

That's the logic here.

I'm trying to figure out on what universe is Detroit liberal.
