Hi everyone. Thanks for reading this. I am looking to move from Roswell New Mexico in the next year and would like some imput from all of you. I have two little girls ages 4 and 8 and will be doing this on my own. I am an oil and gas accountant and am looking to stay within that field. Would like to be somewhere with a warmer climate and have visited parts of eastern US and fell in love with the trees and all the water (remember I'm from the desert!). ANY information would be so so helpful and much appreciated!!

I'm not sure where your occupation can lead you in terms of relocation but I'd recommend the Cary-Apex-Holly Springs suburbs of Raleigh, NC. It's a family-friendly area with excellent public schools, yet with a decent supply of single male professionals and without the skeevy singles scene of some larger metro areas. The area enjoys a mild four season climate with plenty of trees, greenspace and lakes. I think it would be a good fit for all of you.

Anything in NC or VA would probably fit. Perhaps the Tidewater/Hampton Roads area of VA.
