And now I feel like a pretty good driver getting away with speeding with 20 MPH more on a daily basis in Houston & Austin and not getting tickets. But I do agree, the cops here are pretty smart on where they should be to catch someone speeding.

It's not a city, but U.S. 19 between Sutton, WV and Beckley, WV is basically a 64-mile-long speed trap. There are segments through towns where the speed limit drops from 65 to 50, and there are usually cops waiting shortly thereafter. (The town of Summersville is a notorious speed trap.) If you're ever driving between Pittsburgh and Charlotte, be wary on U.S. 19 in West Virginia, or consider taking I-79 all the way down to I-64/I-77 in Charleston, even if it adds some miles.

I was about to say that is pretty common here too. Ok, 20 to 30 mph higher than the speed limit. :P

BUT

In Georgia there is a "super speeder" law where you get double the fine if caught going 75 mph or higher on a surface street and 85 or higher on the highway. Obviously, these are big ticket items so the cops will go after super speeders more so than people just doing regular everyday speeds. Needless to say 70 is my cruising speed when I'm on the highway and have yet to even had a warning since the law went into effect.
