First question:
Yes, diversity is good. But if you live in a not so diverse place, that's not necessarily bad.

Unless you are a child, you are free to do whatever the hell you want and live where ever you want in this country.
What does lack of diversity have to do with liberalism? You can still be a liberal state with all white people. If minorities dont want to move to the state than how is that Vermont's problem?
Vermont was also the first state in the US to legalize civil unions for gay couples so there is a history of helping minorities in the state.
You know what's awesome? Vermont is notorious for its liberalism, yet it's the least diverse state in the United States. Meanwhile, Texas, the favorite punchline among liberals in the last 10 years, is the most diverse state in the United States. Ironic, no?
Actually the data presented only represents the states that have been released.
Texas is the most diverse among the states whose data has been released by the 2010 Census.
Correction: Diversity, at least in most inner-cities, is code for "anti-integration and self-satisfying false justification of racial superiority for white and Asian hipsters and yuppie liberals."
Diversity is Albany Park in Chicago where it's not just black and white.
