There's apparently going to be some sort of revolution/civil war/coup so we might as well update the flag. These are more modern and suitable for any number of states. All are 3:5. I've also come up with a new name...New America.

Take the big white star out.

It represents Texas & you can bet your asses we would be one of the first states to secede.

The United States would starve without Texas, but we would not starve without the rest of the country. Texas has everything it needs & then some to effectively operate as an independent state for the next several hundred years or more.

Yeah...say goodbye to your oil & gas (it really would be astronomical for a gallon of gas then so Obumer better start planning quickly) as well as thousands of other goods that come through the Houston Ship Channel each & every day.

The astronauts on the space station would also be left without guidance home via Mission Control in Houston.

This is all hypothetically speaking of course.

Didn't we just have this thread, or one very similar, a while back?

No there isn't. This is a conspiracy talk if I ever saw one as much as this one. The United States isn't in any position or is going to be splitting into anything.

Also for the people commenting on succession & implication of a need without a state: Do you people actually think America is better off without some of its states? The answer is no, it needs all 50, there wont be any succession and people who hate on some states wont get the glee of loss either.
