This isn't a generalization. No. Not at all.

Wrong. I suspect your media must have really played that one up for whatever reason. To sell newspapers I would guess.

I don't recall having heard anything anti-Brit from anyone in our media or on the street.

The only anti-Brit sentiment seems to be coming from the White House for some strange reason.

Yes they do but parochial arrogance can be rather amusing if done right.

When they bash an American car after comparing it to one two to three times its cost, it's easy to keep their prejudices in perspective.

I love watching the show.

This is the strangest question I think I've heard on this forum in quite a while! Anti-British vibe? Here in America? I never saw any negative feeling towards the British during the BP Oil spill other than some people wanting to boycott BP Oil stations. We blamed BP not the British people so it appears your media was feeding you rubbish!
As it stands now the American media is infatuated & talks daily about the upcoming Royal wedding and some shows even have a countdown!

London well Americans have always been fascinated with your Royals since we don't have our own I guess! When Princess Di passed away you would not believe how many Americans went into mourning as well. I knew people at work who were glued to the TV for hours watching the funeral procession.

It's all media hype - there was and isn't any anti-british "vibe" or anything like that. Maybe some stupid idiot burned a british flag and they showed it on TV 25 times.

My question is, where would an American get a random British flag??
Buy it off the internet?

What wedding? One of Di's boys finally getting married I take it?

Oh yeah, I like Top Gear. They play off each other brilliantly and are a good mix. Personal favorite is not Jeremy though, it would have to be James May. He cracks me up with his dry humor.
