I used to live in Bloomfield CT as a kid. My family and I were almost always the only white people in a store.

The only reason why CC Hills has even been mentioned in this thread is because of its close proximity to Flossmoor and Olympia Fields and someone from the East Coast heard "county club" in the name. When a there's a tripple homicide by gun in the street and a SWAT team is brought in, you're only making Black Americans look bad if you put this neighborhood on a pedestal.

For the record, I don't think CC Hills is a bad place to live. I'd stick out like a sore thumb in CC Hills but I'd still rather live there than several other places in the southland I'll leave unnamed.
no actually the cc hills median income is somewheres around 55-6ok

The northeast wins !
Uniondale is not affluent at all. It's one of the poorest towns on Long Island.

THE New York City area also has a reasonable amount of high-income majority black areas. They are just scattered and not clustered up like in PGC. There is a section of South Orange, NJ that has a median household income of and is 52% Black, which actually makes it the richest majority Black census tract in the entire country. Long Island, NY has 4 neighborhoods/census tracts that are majority Black and have median household incomes of over $100,000. You also have Southeastern Queens but Southeast Queens is more middle class/working class than wealthy.

RICHEST PREDOMINATELY BLACK CENSUS TRACTS/NEIGHBORHOODS IN THE NEW YORK CITY AREA:

Census Tract/Neighborhood 191: $144,792: 52% Black (Southeastern part of South Orange, NJ)

Census Tract 122405: $110,026: 59% Black (Eastern half of Wheatley Heights, Long Island, NY)

Census Tract 4129: $109,325: 58% Black (Far northern part of Baldwin, Long Island, NY)

Census Tract 78: $106,958: 89% Black (section of East Flatbush, Brooklyn, NY)

Census Tract 3039: $106,029: 52% Black (Far northern part of Westbury, Long Island, NY)

Census Tract 391: $105,000: 42% Black: (Eastern part of Plainfield, NJ)

Census Tract 10902: $103,388: 43% Black: (Northwestern White Plains, Westchester County, NY)

Census Tract 55: $102,406: 99% Black (section of Laurelton, Queens, NYC)

Census Tract 612: $101,364: 85% Black (section of Cambria Heights, Queens, NYC)

Census Tract 122502: $101,354: 67% Black (Far northern part of North/West Babylon, Long Island, NY)

Median Household Income of the State of New York: $54,554
Median Household Income of the State of New Jersey: $68,444

Affluent Black neighborhoods of California;
- Los Angeles has the famous Baldwin Hills, Ladera Heights and View Park- Windsor Hills but oddly. The Oakland Hills in Oakland, CA are fairly well off too but no black neighborhood in the state have a median household income of more than $100,000 though there's a few in the high 90k's.

Affluent Black neighborhoods of the Atlanta, Georgia area;
- I know for a fact that there are affluent enclaves of the suburbs of Atlanta, GA but since this region has a lower cost of living/salaries than the rest of the country, it would be be misrepresentative if I posted their numbers.

RICHEST PREDOMINATELY BLACK CENSUS TRACTS/NEIGHBORHOODS OUTSIDE OF NYC AREA AND WASHINGTON DC AREA:

Census Tract 5382: $109,052: 77% Black (Palmer Woods, Detroit, Michigan)

Census Tract 702881: $104,007: 77% Black (southern part of Willingboro Township, NJ)

Census Tract 16617: $100,968: 48% Black (section of DeSoto, Texas)

[I'm sure there are more, so if you know any feel free to add]

Median Household Income of the State of Texas: $48,286
Median Household Income of the State of Michigan: $45,254

(Note 1: ALL figures come from the United States Census Bureau)

(Note 2: Keep in mind that cost of livings vary notably per region. So 105k in NY is different from 105k in rural Alabama.)

(Note 3: The numerical/income amounts are for median household income)

(Note 4: Most upper middle class and affluent black people integrate into white communities so don't fool yourself into thinking that every affluent black person lives in one of these communities)

Okay, i'm done! Gotta rest my hands from all this typing and research. Hope this helps somebody!
All the areas you listed on long island are by no means affluent. In fact they are some of the poorest neighborhoods in the area. You should do better research.

Ok, you must not know anything about theses areas at all. Not only does the US Census and various other statistical organizations agree with me but I have spent a lot of time in all four of those LI areas. So yes, my research is fine. Please actually visit the areas before you criticize and posting at least one source to back up your comments would also help.

'Westbury north of the parkway' and most of 'Wheatley Heights' are very well-to-do. I'm not even going to begin to debate that with you b/c if you've actually been to the area or know people from those areas then you would agree. As for that section of NB/WB, I actually used to live in that area for a long time and most people there are middle class. As for North Baldwin, to be fair&honest, I haven't been there much.

ADDITIONAL DATA:
This data shows the median household income of "Birchwood Knolls" section of Northern Westbury, according to it, the median household income there is $106,372.

According to this site (2010 Census), it shows the overall median household income of all of Wheatley Heights at $88,191. That's far from impoverished and keep in mind that the community has a lot of elderly apartments so that brings down the median household income significantly;

I live in Long Island- I HAVE visited all those areas. Do you think Uniondale is nice? i think it's a sh*thole.

North Baldwin is not nice at all. PARTS of Westbury are nice but most of it is not.

SOME of Wheatley Heights is nice, most of it is not.

I agree that some parts of Westbury are crappy and some are nice. But the part i'm referencing (north of the parkway) is known as the nicest part of Westbury. This is also the majority black part of Westbury. You can go to any thread about Westbury on this forum and just about everybody would agree.

I would say half of Whtly Hts is nice and half is just 'okay'. By "nice", I mean very well-kept houses and lawns.

As for Uniondale, I would say that it's not a very attractive area but it's not that terrible.

Here is some more facts about these areas that show that they are solidly middle class. Obviously this doesn't show that these areas are "affluent" but it shows the overwhelming majority of people there own their homes which is a major sign of middle-class status:

+ 844/976 properties in Whtly Hts are owner-occupied (the part of WH that i'm referencing).
+ 1,008/1,219 properties in that part of WB are owner-occupied.
+ 1,200/1,227 properties in Northern Westbury are owner-occupied.
+ 1,769/1,820 properties in Northern Baldwin are owner-occupied.

Here is my source for all of this:
