I have an aunt living in Anchorage, Alaska and she always comments that the community there is fairly intergrated between socio economic clases. There are certainly wealthy and poor neighborhoods there like any other city, but there seems to be less discrimination between socio economic classes there. It takes a salt of the earth kind of person to live in Alaska regardless of income.
