Hialeah, FL. A suburb about 3 miles north and west of Downtown Miami.

Wow, we went from this:

1980

Population: 145,254

to this:

2010

Hmm, Hialeah's not exactly diverse . Let's do Greater Miami.

Miami-Fort Lauderdale-Pompano Beach Metropolitan Statistical Area:

1980

Population: 3,220,447

2010
Population: 5,564,635

In both you can see a sharp overall population increase, with a sharp decrease in whites and increase in Hispanics. Steady increase for blacks, substantial growth for Asians, but overall numbers are too small to make a real difference.

Wow -- Oakland is the most diverse city I've ever seen on a pie chart! 25% across the board for the major ethnicities!

It's interesting to see that Syracuse and Lafayette are close in demographics, with a slight edge to Syracuse in terms of diversity balance.

yeah there are very few hispanics and asians in Louisiana from what Ive experienced. Most of them are next door in Texas.
However Im noticing a growing amount of them in my city lately. They just started building another sushi buffet place and the asian markets in town are doing well.
