I looked up most dangerous metros and St. Louis wasn't even on the list. If you ask me, the most dangerous metros are where crime matters. Los Angeles is the most dangerous metro in the country and one of the most dangerous cities as well. I'd say Los Angeles has more of a crime problem than we do because it is not contained to just several small areas Leave the crime issue alone please...it's really a pathetic way to judge us unless you can prove our metro is so dangerous it's scary And besides, St. Louis is kicking Detroit's ass in this poll, so it sounds to me like crime really is not a big factor here.
yeah I do't know where people get there voiting habits, but Detroit is notorius fro being a bad place so that's on everyones mind. but lately it's been coming uo big. detroit has a larger and probably nicer theatre, a better skyline much larger more buildings, taller buildings, and more a nice new riverfront. I dunno what STL did with there river front is it just industrial cause that's a big waste. Dteroit's whole riverfron for miles is a paved walkway with music whi,e you walk downtown.

Just can't help yourself, gotta get that last word in don't you? St. Louis has tons of casinos on its riverfront, it has the Gateway Arch, Laclede's landing, a downtown with skyscrapers at or near 600 feet tall, Anheuser Busch, Union Station, the Central West End, Forest Park, the Hill...a river that beats the St. Clair any day of the week...oh yea, and it also has the riverfront a.k.a riverview drive where you can drive 10 miles north all the way to the confluence of the Missouri and the Mississippi. Maybe compared to Detroit our skyscrapers are short but since when does every city need to have super-tall buildings to be considered big or great? Quit insulting my city and try exercising a little impulse control pal. Detroit still has Chicago to beat and is losing population at a far greater rate than St. Louis, which the last time I checked is not losing population, and if it is now, it's nothing compared to Detroit. Quit insulting my city, please....i admit Detroit has many things it doesn't, but in no way is St. Louis a sh*tty city. St. Louis has many things Detroit doesn't either. Call it a truce and please quit trying to start a fight. "my city is better than your's, blah blah blah"...grow up.

Your city is not superior in every way..it's better in some ways, but not every way...please grow up.
alright I see. but still you seem to be saying that Detroit is worse, so you keep insulting my city, but maybe not. and I simply asked you waht was going on with STL's river front. I looked at it from google earth and it was a brown river. I also saw alot of industrial. I guess the gateway arch is on the riverfront so there is some green. hey nothing personal man, you don't want to end up like that one guy who taunted that kidlol

Oh please don't tell me you are backing his talk about St. Louis..the stuff he is saying about Detroit is true but now all he's doing is talking about how crappy a city St. Louis is and it's really starting to bug the crap out of me because he's obviously never been here, and if he has, he's probably only stayed for a minute and left because it kills him to think St. Louis can be a city too....and only looks at statistics When the Tigers beat the Cards, then I'll actually listen to his bull***t

I'm not saying Detroit is worse, I'm simply giving evidence your city has more problems in some areas than mine, and vice-versa....is that such a hard reality to face? And please....visit an area for yourself before jumping to any conclusions....if you want to see St. Louis, visit not only its downtown but Downtown Clayton, Midtown, the Central West End, etc....St. Louis has a lot of activities going around in lots of other places besides its downtown. I've never been to Detroit, i actually am hoping to visit there one of these days....can we just be adults and stop arguing like little kids? I'm too old to go back to grade school again

Washington University and St. Louis University are colleges you should check out . Just saying, don't dismiss St. Louis yet. I will agree to this...Detroit has a better downtown than St. Louis does. That is one thing I can't and will not even try to contest....whether it is a better city or not I honestly don't know...I won't jump to any conclusions until I visit it...and I ask that Biggio66 not do the same for St. Louis until he visits here. These topics bring out the worst in people...(raises hand)

I think both of you should both look at the positives of both cities.I like all the Midwest,I look at it as the region it is,and not as a bunch of differrent little regions.Id hope I can visit St. louis while Im going to college in Detroit,or sometime after.
