NY State is pretty good with mountains, beaches, canyons, hills, lakes, rivers, valleys, flatlands, islands, the biggest city in the country, many quaint communities, mid sized cities, 4 seasons, a wide variety of architecture, a variety in terms of the character of communities, swamps and much more for a state that is 30th in land size.
"Most photogenic" has to be California. It's pretty much what we're known for. We have dense urban landscapes, concrete canyons, alpine mountains, mediterranean coasts, red rock deserts, high deserts, rain forests, saltwater lakes, freshwater lakes, waterfalls, vineyards, farmland, prairie, cowboys, celebrities, rural america, counter culture, wildfires, earthquakes, volcanoes, tornadoes, bears, whales, the governator, etc. California is a photo op waiting to happen. That's not to say other states aren't photogenic, because clearly that's not true, but California combines damn near everything into one, neat, geopolitical boundary.
