omg, i'm cracking up that the jerseyian and the illnoisian (?) are fighting over which is worse!!
"No, it's MYYYYYYY place, ESL"
"No way, it's Camden, look at this"
"YEAH? Well, look at this tour of ESL!!!!!"
they're both hell on earth!! i will say that ESL may have the title since Camden does have the Battleship NJ which draws in tourists.

wait. i'll claim ignorance here. is ESL a CITY proper, or a section of St. Louis? I ASSumed the former, otherwise you need to lump that section with St. Louis and I then believe you can't claim the title, lol.
If ESL is its own city, do tourists seriously go there?

No ESL is its own city and tourists don't go there,But at least St. Louis city is right there.Even through Philly is pretty close to Camden. From what it sounds like ESL is worse.

Tahiti,
ESL and Camden are kind of analogous to each other in that they are both complimentary cities, across large rivers, in separate states to their parent cities (ESL is in Illinois, not Missouri). Of course Camden is in NJ, but is associated with Philly, right down to the naming and grid pattern of their streets.

i'm not talking CLOSE, I'm talking the actual place. People actually GO TO Camden to see the battleship. ESL wins!

Only thing in ESL is the casino, and thats actually been a boon for them. Without the casino on their riverfront, that place would be even worse off than it is now, and thats hard to envision.
But other than the casino, there is absolutely no reason to go there unless you are suicidal.
Camden and ESL are very comparable cities, as noted above. But judging from the crime stats, ESL is worse. Their school district was taken over by the state of Illinois, I believe.
