You're assuming it's a personal attack, although it's a stretch. It wasn't directed to you, don't worry about it but maybe watch yourself a little closer. Just a thought in passing.

So..........your post was not an attack against his intellect and/or level of education? Curious, how was your post supposed to be understood then?

Plus, just for you, I am looking in the mirror and watching myself a little closer at this very moment.

And I am not a person to take belief on faith. It leaves too much open to human interpretation.

Atoms, gravity, etc have all been shown to exist through countless physical research and evidence. I don't have to see it, as science has already proven it. And I'm pretty sure the fact that I have the ability to breathe shows that oxygen exists in the air. It's a dumb comparison to faith-based entities.
As my graduate advisor stated, "Science is one way to gain knowledge about our world, but science isn't everything."

All knowledge isn't gained empirically or sensually.

Well most people who don't accept evolution are referring to the general theory of evolution, or macroevolution. Most people don't have a problem with microevolution, many examples of which can be observed in real time such as the one you mentioned.

I guess now that I'm explaining it, it's not that funny anymore. Oh well lol
Sorry, I didn't pick the sarcasm up haha.

Why do 21st century educated people continue to debate with those individuals who believe the world is flat, the moon landing was faked, the Holocaust didn't happen, or that Elvis and Tupac are still alive?

Some people will just never agree on things. Just let it be. Those people need to realize that others aren't going to change their world views based on your word.

It is absolutely demeaning to converse with someone (whether they're from Tennessee, Arkansas, Alabama, etc.) who turns to this ancient relic for their reality. Evolution is a fact, fellow Homo sapiens, and its effects will continue for eons to come.

Ha Motorman

most people are against it extremely. I am from the south and I am extremely against it. I am not against it because of religion though!

I think there is a creator who is not some guy with flip flops. There is some form of intelligence that helped evolution, which completely proves evolution and religion both wrong, IMO! But that is my opinion!

My southern family will not think anything through that is not in the bible. But they probably are partially right, but not becaused of narrow minded religion, but because ALL humans are probably wrong!
