I was interested in African-American friendly cities because increasingly, the KKK are cropping back up and recruiting in certain cities. Denver is now only 10% African American and on tonights news channels, there are stories of how the KKK recruitment is on the rise in Denver and other large metropolis areas in the US.
Scary stuff. Maybe someone should start keeping track of trends like this across America.

While of course African Americans should be concerned about this, the rise of the KKK and other White supremacy hate groups is largely connected with the immigration issue. Denver has a pretty sizable Latino population so I'm not surprised about the rise of KKK recruitment there.
Demographics change. Fifty years ago cities like Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Los Angeles and Philadelphia were the cities many blacks were fleeing too. But times have changed. Today many African-Americans are not just move south but also west. Some are also moving to smaller cities in their own state. For instance many black's left Detroit but they either moved to the suburbs, or other Michigan cities like Grand Rapids or Lansing. Many southern cities also have declining black city populations. Most people are really relocating to the suburban areas. And most large cities have decent clean good suburbs. You can leave Chicago or Detroit and move out into quite, peaceful neighborhoods with good schools, beautiful homes and ample shopping districts. You can find this around any urban area. I've seen broken run-down areas of Birmingham, Al and then you go out into some of the suburbs and you got African-Americans living in beautiful wonderful homes. But I have seen the same in Denver, Detroit, Houston, Wash. DC, Chicago, Miami....ect. So fifty years after 1963 march on Washington, African-Americans are on the move all across the nation, and it's more to the suburban areas today than to the actual city itself.

Blacks are no longer a priority for the KKK though. They still hate us, but their biggest focus is the immigration laws.
Black people? If you mean black culture as in food and social gatherings. There are many places..You have to invest time and travel to find the particular "black people your looking for....When I lived in the Pocono area of PA it was terrific,,,,The mix of folks was pretty diverse and resulted in a lot of churches, different restaurants and neighborhoods.....People tend to live close to friends and family when they move.. If your new to an area go to Sunday services at a predominately black church and chat it up.....Just remember wherever you go you bring yourself so be yourself and ask them what's on your mind....
