Default What is your educational attainment?

Just curious as to the educational attainment of the forum posters. Please select the closest choice that matches your highest educational attainment. If you are currently working towards a certain degree, choose that (even if you haven't finished it) -- although if you're in the middle of a 7-year "break", maybe you're really not going back!

Oops. I voted in the poll before I read your little vignette. Sorry! I'm working towards my Bachelor's Degree in Accounting at King's College, after which I'm headed to graduate school at either the University of Scranton or the Wharton School of Business.

B.A. and going back to school for my second degree. These days obtaining an education is a necessity. In general, school opens your mind towards avenues you have never thought to venture. Life really comes down to learning, advancing and challenging one's individual potential. You certainly don't have to get a formal education to attain this but school will help you develop the much needed self-discipline to succeed in your goals.

I'm in the middle of a five year "break". I finally started studying for the GRE last week. I've had the book for over two years now. As you can see, I'm really motivated.

Haha, one of the local climbers in Moab (Utah) I met is in the middle of an 8-year "break" from college!

Graduated from a private high school, then attended a local college for 3 years, on and off. I changed studies like underpants and ended up getting a good paying job and got married, never attended school since. Id like to go back to finish some engineering classes, but I doubt that will happen.

Smile College is a means to an end...what's your end?

Well, you might say that I have "dabbled" in college.

I became a mother when I was young so didn't go to college until my kids were in their teens. I took several classes on subjects I was interested in: computers, music and psychology. Now, years later, I am about to start a class on web design, my newest love, and plan to take some writing classes, another love.

So, can ya guess how I answered the poll?

Yep! "Some college (did not or do not intend to graduate)"

That is, unless Certification qualifies!

At my age and with my goals, achieving graduation would just be a waste of time, money and paper, I'm afraid.

It's most understandable. College is not for everyone and sometimes circumstances get in the way. Congratulations on being a good mother, that's a tough job in its own right. I say, take all the classes you want, persue your interests and don't worry about the credential. Life's about the "value" of the experience in any given moment.

Very Nice! It was one of my passions when I was a kid, that and architecture.
