Where haven't you been yet in the US or Canada? What would you like to see? Lets leave out "I have no interest in going to" but rather I would love to see _________ National Park or ___________ state or ___________ city etc...

Places on your radar that you've been itching to see but haven't been to yet. What about it attracts you to that destination?

I'll start.....

#1 - Grand Canyon/Flagstaff/Sedona, AZ: The one place everybody says pictures, videos and stories can never do the place justice. Go there! When I go I want to hike way down into it, not just snap photos at the rim. I'd like to explore all the crevices, rock formations, trails, the river, the lodges, would also like to get up to the less crowded North Rim. From outside the park I'd also like to make an excursion to Havasu Falls and spend some time in Flagstaff and Sedona. Possibly drive up to Lake Powell also. I could easily spend a whole week exploring Northern Arizona.

#2 - New Orleans: I've seen many major cities in the country, but this one city that's always been on my radar I haven't seen yet. I want to experience the food mostly, the architecture, the music, and culture. Wouldn't mind a bayou excursion either. I'd make a long weekend out of it.

#3 - Minnesota: I love lakes and I'm sure I would appreciate this state. I haven't really been up in the Upper Midwest/Great Lakes area (just Chicago and Toronto). Minnesota is the state I'd like to spend the most time in, I'd like to get up to the Northern woods and lakes around Boundary Waters and Voyageurs NP, and also spend time in Minneapolis and St. Paul. Minneapolis looks like a very attractive city in photos.

#4 - Hawaii: Mostly Maui and the big Island. I would make Honolulu a priority. I'd love to see the volcanos, lava rocks, and black sand beaches and also experience a luau.

other places....

Teluride, Colorado
South Padre Island, Texas
Key West, Florida
Traverse City, Michigan
Moab, Utah
Calgary/Banff/Jasper, Alberta Canada

I have been just about everywhere in the US and Canada. Thus, there aren't really any places that would end up on a list of places I, yet, want to visit. However, there are quite a few places that I wouldn't mind going back to - they are all National Parks:

Jasper
Banff
Canyonlands
Gros Morne
Fundy
Zion

3. Newfoundland - Very unique geography and culture
4. Saskatchewan - I like the prairies of Alberta, and I think I'd like SK too
5. Black Hills, SD/WY - Fascinating geography
6. White Sands, NM - I want to return to the desert and the dunes look cool

I would like to experience a few weeks in each of the following.

The Florida Keys
The Hawaiian Islands
A fishing village on the coasts of New England

They all seem to offer a taste of a unique way of life that I know little about but would like to get a glimpse of firsthand.

Sunrise at White Sands is fierce! The colors that come though with different shades of light is incredible.

I want to go to Yosemite NP and the Grand Canyon before I die! I'd also like to rent a houseboat and tool around Lake Powell.
