Vancouver BC, Seattle WA, and San Francisco CA. Can't beat the natural beauty of the Pacific Coast.

Boston, MA and Philadelphia, PA for their history.

New Orleans, LA for the culture music and events.

Honolulu, HI because tropical and its beautiful.

Las Vegas, NV for the excitement.

Denver, CO for the Western feel, and beautiful parks and lots of things to do.

Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN for arts and cultural stuff.

Albuquerque, NM for the Southwest feel and history.

I'll write in: Portland, OR for the same reason as Vancouver, Seattle, and San Francisco and because it's the most underrated city in America. Which is probably why it was left off the list.
What about MTL, NYC and LA?

They are not my favorites. LA is probably the worst city I've every been in, in my life. Not that I have anything against the people or the city its-self. Southern Californians are cool. But driving two hours through heavy traffic, just to get someplace, is not something I like to do. Just sayin.

Speak for yourself just because you don't know anything about Utah or New Mexico, because many others do. Albuquerque is one of my favorite cities and I don't live anywhere near there. The mountain topography, high desert, and Santa Fe on the outskirts, interesting architecture, compelling Native American culture, Spanish colonial history, palpable Southwestern culture and heritage, and awesome New Mexican food make ABQ a fine city. It's somewhere very different and that's what makes it special. Cities with major league sports and universities with noteriety are a dime a dozen. I can't think of anyone that said Cleveland is one of their favorites, or anywhere in Ohio for that matter.

You know everyone says that, but when I took a trip there I was VERY unimpressed. It felt like an American city to me. Toronto is MUCH nicer.

Montreal is definetely a unique city in North America mainly because of its French language. Some parts of the city, like old town, feels like Europe, while other parts feels like any other U.S/Canadian city.
It's also one of the oldest cities in North America.

Can't believe Montreal got 25 votes and Miami & Las Vegas only 4 & 3.
I expected Los Angeles & Honolulu to be higher in the poll too.
btw what's up with Dallas? 0 votes?

The city is populated with out-of-state transients who have found it to be a (40+ C) hell-hole and hope to move to their next assignment in a few years.

Houston on the other hand is the state's only actual major city (not just region and a global city to boot) and a beloved historical and artistic center of the state.

Have you been to LA, Honolulu and Montreal?
