We can group it next to (but not combine it with) the urban planning forum! There probably will be some overlap in topics.

We HAVE allowed skyscraper topics to appear in the city-vs-city room. And what happened? The room was saturated with them very quickly, turning off a lot of posters who wanted to see a variety of topics - not just skyscraper comparisons. On top of that, at one time, up to 50% or more of the photos being posted were ©copyrighted images that people were stealing from other private sites for their skyscraper postings - and it wasn't a small number of posters who were doing this, either. This opens the poster up to legal issues, as well as complaints coming in to this site as well from the photo owners.

So short answer - there will most likely not be a skyscraper room, if anything due to the problems associated with copyright/gleaming issues that would cause a need for 24/7 moderation to prevent it. There is another (name withheld) site that is devoted to the topic of skyscrapers and only that - and many who are commenting here right now already belong to that site and are extremely active there already.
