For the past few years I've come to this thread to complain about the subpar foliage seasons in New England, but I can finally report a good one. I was in northern NH / Maine last weekend and the colors were the best I've seen in about 5 years (and how I remember a normal season looking like). Unfortunately, this week has been wet and rainy with above-average overnight low temperatures; neither a good sign for the foliage. I will keep an eye on how it develops throughout the region.

In the meantime, some shots from the Rangeley Lakes area of Maine:

^^Gorgeous pix! The Colorado mountains have been beautiful this year as well. In Nebraska the trees are just starting to turn, though the cornstalks are yellow.

Love those bright reds.

We are just starting to see some color here in central/coastal Jersey.

Here in the Twin Cities we're at about 40-50% of peak color. I was hiking at Interstate State Park in Taylors Falls, Minnesota yesterday and there's some nice color starting:

Was at the Dalles (WI and MN sides) a month or so ago, excellent pics! Also love Sugarloaf/Huron Mountains, been a couple years since I've made it up there, unfortunately.

"Up North" in WI is at a high % color-wise, northern Marinette Co already peaked. Went over to the Driftless yesterday, and there's a smattering of color in most spots - Devil's Lake, Spring Green Preserve, Natural Bridge, and so on, not at peak yet but very pretty. If anything turned out, I'll post it here.

Here are a few cell phone pics from my area of MI. I can't compete with the quality of the other recent pics here, though. I love seeing the photos from around the country. Nice work everyone!
