I'm really liking Asheville, NC.

Can anyone tell me more about the town?

It apprears to be dog-friendly, beautiful, has good culture...

What is year round weather like? I think we're going to take a vacation there this summer.

I love Colorado, but it appears that it isn't very nice to newcomers. How is NC on out-of-staters coming in? I know very little about that area in general (as I'm a native Texan with family out west).

Colorado: the state whose mountains make a molehill out of the Smokies and Appalachians.

The Rockies make the Appalachians look pretty lame.

I love the Rockies. But I have a few concerns about that area.

Growing TOO big for it's britches. Water being an obvious concern. Jobs being another. There are a lot of issues with them hiring from out of state.

Although my heart is in Colorado, I worry about cost of living VS how much we realistically can afford...

Asheville..is VERY pricey and they do not pay very much, no jobs to speak of other than tourist. ALso, crowded...and VERY liberal..that is what I have been told on here for the past 5 years or so..We are also looking at upstate NY, seems the job prospects are much better than the south. Good luck..thanks for posting this...helped me out!
