Every state has beautiful natural scenery. Just venture off the freeway.

Western North Carolina to Southwest Virginia along the Blue Ridge Parkway.

The North Carolina Parkway Experience - Blue Ridge Parkway

But where do you live?

Like the poster said, one can find beautiful, natural scenery everywhere if you are willing to look.

I can help you with specifics if you tell me of your current location.

I noticed from your few posts, you have a familiarity with Rochester?? Try the Finger Lakes area, thats not too far from Rochester, NY. Upstate New York is beautiful in so many areas. If you go east and north a bit further you can get into the Adirondacks.

Perhaps the 1000 Islands could work too. Perhaps quaint Lake Ontario communities like Sackets Harbor or Sodus Point.
