Cities at night, I never thought of that. All cities at night have the potential for beauty. I live in Las Vegas currently, the single brightest city. The buildings are lit like nowhere else, they would look tacky anywhere else. My hometown of Los Angeles, however, was something else! On a clear winter night, looking down, it literally blazes like the entire galaxy fell to earth! White, yellow, blue, red stars still blazing on the ground, surrounding you at 360 degrees. Out to the horizon in all directions. The largest single man-made sight I've ever seen. Still, San Francisco ain't no slouch at night, either!
NYC and Chicago have the most beautiful man-made stuff.
Agreed. But I voted for Los Angeles, because it really is amazing.. I've yet to go to San Francisco though, so maybe my opinion would change. Btw why is Atlanta up there? :/
I think Las Vegas should be up there. While the desert, with all its beauty, cannot compare with San Francisco Bay or the mountains behind Seattle or the tropical beaches of Miami, in any given year there is as much darkness as there is daylight.
And at night, no place on Earth can beat Vegas.
I find it really neat to land in Vegas at night. In the northeast, all cities have lights all around it b/c they are surrounded by so many suburbs. But out there it's just like Vegas and mountains. It's awesome to see that from a plane.
I voted for San Francisco, but Atlanta and DC are the only two I've been to listed on the poll. Of the cities I've been to, Austin, San Antonio, and Nashville by a mile.
