Halloween appropriate thread!!!

What places in the US say "wicked" as in "wicked good"/ "wicked nice", etc? I never heard the term used until I moved to Raleigh as a pre-teen from California. But, it wasn't used by the locals but rather by the transplants from the Northeast. Does your region use wicked in such a way? Boo

Only New Englanders and Jamaicans, from my experience.

It's pretty much only people from New England (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut) who use "wicked" as an adverb/intensifier. It's really one of the easiest ways to tell if someone's from New England.

I've heard this word used around the Chicago area and use it myself.

Once in a while I hear someone say "wicked" on Long Island. Still, it is not something you hear every day. Possibly because it makes no sense! How could something "wicked" be good? Only a diabolical & troubled mind can think such stuff up.

JK

Btw there is a "Wicked" play on Broadway. I have not seen it but I heard Wicked is pretty good!

You forgot the U.K. (a.k.a. Ali G, although he definitely reminds me more of a Jamaican than a British guy...yes, I know he's really British (Sacha Baron Cohen)). Love that guy...what I wouldn't give to see him post on here
