Detroit - "Although our city's a hellhole, We have the best suburbs in the world, and it's not that bad here. We have sports!!! Never mind the decaying infrastructure everywhere or how everything's spread out."

San Francisco - "Would you rather live here, where you can make $10/hr as a minimum wage, or Mississippi?"

Chicago - "It's not perfect here, but at least we are better off than all the other hellholes in the midwest, and we have the tallest building in the US!!!"

Baltimore - "No, we are not a suburb of PHiladelphia or Washington D.C."

Houston - "Hey, Bush was only raised here. We played no part in cursing the US with him for 8 years."

Dallas - "The Cowboys rule, (insert team) sucks.

Phoenix - "If it's so boring and hot, then why are people still moving here in droves?

Las Vegas - "Casinos may be the only thing we have, but we have the best casinos!!!"

Kansas City - "Just because our namee says Kansas doesn't mean we're Kansas"

St. Louis - "No no no, East St. Louis in Illinois is the hellhole, not St. Louis in Missouri"

Atlanta - "We're the New York of the south, and we have Ted Turner!!!"

In Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming it's wolves. In western Montana it's how liberal Missoula is and it's all about how the government is intruding into everything. In Montana it's also the argument about what is eastern and what is western Montana and how Californians and people from "back east" (anywhere outside of Montana) are ruining their "way of life."

I'm not sure why people think people in NC get offended when they say they're not part of the South. I lived in Chapel Hill and mentioned they're Southerners and they acted like I said their mothers were prostitutes. Same is true in Northern Virginia even more so.
