I live in western Kentucky and have eaten at Huddle Houses all over Tennessee and Kentucky. They've closed a few in our area in the past few years and I miss it! Waffle House (or as my granddaughter calls it, the "Awful Waffle") is great but I still like my Huddle House!

Chic Fil A’s are everywhere. Too bad Waffle House isn’t more common than McDonald’s.

I wonder if the # of Waffle Houses per capita ranks similarly to obesity levels. Looks interestingly close.

there are tons of grocery stores and local produce markets in those same states so sounds like somebody is stretching to make a point.

is there any state in which you cannot get fried food at numerous restaurants.

if there is, i would like to open up restaurants there and have a monopoly because I know the demand is there.

We have no waffle houses in the entire state, but several Chick-fil-A even in the Seattle area.
There are long lines and even people camping out whenever a new one opens. I don’t understand the appeal.

What's with these condescending comments? There are plenty of places to get yourself fat even in California. And correlation does not equal causation.

I love Waffle House. Since there aren't any where I live whenever I go to an area that has them I stop...I'll be hitting up one in the STL metro tomorrow.

It's always the same order: a waffle with chocolate chips and pecans (tear it up and dip it in the syrup), large order of hash browns smothered, covered, and chunked, and a large order of bacon.
