I think Baltimore would be better if 70% of it was completely razed and remade into a truly shiny, modern city the likes of Phoenix or Atlanta or Houston. Old southern plantations or pretty Victorian homes shouldn't be demolished to built subdivions or office parks but brownfields and brick rowhouses are a different story. Those new skyscrapers are a step in the right direction. NOw we just need to replace the thousands of other row houses, factories, and warehouses
I've been following your posts and I think it's time to say something...

Certainly everyone is entitled to their opinions, but I still think it's SO much better if we all just lay down the pipe, take a deep breath, and tone down the extra-active bi-polar hyperbole a tad.

70% of Baltimore DOES NOT need to be completely razed. That's just beyond the pale...utterly outrageous and completely irrational, if not stupid.

You seem to have some kind of vendetta against the state of Maryland, but you reserve your special vitriol of hateful propaganda against the city of Baltimore and Prince George's County for some reason. In another post you spewed off some junk comparing PG county with Belfast and some other sundry distasteful descriptions of a land that if you've never been there before one might think it's comparable to lunar landscape devoid of trees or breathable air.

FAR from the truth. No, both places are not perfect but give the world a dagburn break.

There are lots of nice areas in Baltimore outside of the immediate Inner Harbor area (Canton, Fells Point, Federal Hill, Guilford, Roland Park, Mt. Vernon, et al), as there are in many places within PG County--including million dollar homes, horse farms, open green spaces, etc.

Why is this? What is going on inside of you?

P.S. I'm a huge U. of Md. Terrapins fan...go Terps!

I don't know how many times I've been asked by people online if I wear shoes, or wanted to marry my cousin, and I wasn't even born in this state (I'm from California). The stereotype gets so old.

LOL....Some people I chat with on the internet do the same thing to me...ask me if I have a pair of shoes, ever married my cousin, have all my teeth, ever had a member of the family in the KKK. It gets old, but I laugh it off. What they don't know is that I've been up North and have seen my share of redneckish areas.

What's worse is when they do it in your face. For instance, I don't have a very strong southern accent, but when I worked at a hotel in Nashville a guest said "You sound too smart to be from Tennessee." Or "Nashville is nice for the South." etc, etc.

I don't hate any state. But then again I love the United States every last inch of it. Good or Bad because no matter how bad it is here we have the power to change it inch by inch.

Connecticut is kind of like Florida for me.....it's nice to visit I just don't want to live there. There are so many sour grapes here that they should have more wineries.
