Just wondering if the people on this website have been to more states than the general populace. I wonder because there are a lot of people who have a lot to say about different cities, but I wonder how many people here have actually been to the cities, or if they're just basing their opinions on hearsay and stereotypes.

Been to? or Lived in? I've been to (visited) a lot more cities than I've lived in. I've lived in 15 (I think... brain is fried from finals and papers and me and numbers never get along at the best of times) cities in 9 states.

I've been to 46 states (except Alaska, Arkansas, Michigan, and Vermont). It would be too tiring to count all of the cities.

I've been to 40 of the 51 cities with a metro of over 1,000,000. Did really good till I got to the bottom of the metro list!

Phoenix
Orlando
Sacramento

Charlotte
Virginia Beach
Jacksonville
Richmond
Buffalo
Raleigh
Salt Lake City

29 of 50 states, furthest west I've been in the U.S. is Arizona, furthest south I've been in the states I've traveled to is Florida(specifically Saint George Island on the Panhandle, though briefly went south of the border from Texas to Mexico near Ciudad Juarez/El Paso years ago), furthest north I've traveled is to Tahquamenon Falls State Park in Michigan's UP(actual furthest north point is the northern end of the Agawa Canyon train that leaves out of Sault Ste. Marie, ON), and the furthest east I've been is Connecticut. Yep I know I've still got a LOT more exploring of the U.S., and Canada and Mexico to do one day.

Don't feel like counting all the bigger cities I've visited and listing, that'd take too long to think and write up.
