Rice and A&M tied??? not in your life.
Rice has the highest incoming SAT scores in the state and it has the lowest acceptance rate. Rice would either be tied with UT or ranked higher. A&M is below both DEFINITELY.

Rice 17
UT 45
A&M 58

UT: 55

Despite being a much smaller school and lacking the major land grants, Rice has a huge endowment. Per capita it ranks 3rd in the country after Princeton and Yale, and just above Harvard.
Its endowment is 1.5M per student. UT has 100K per student

This thread was intended for individuals to express their personal opinions and experiences. The OP was very clear about that. My opinion was based on what I have seen of the Aggie and Longhorn alumni networks as well as academic and corporate reputation.
If you want to question the validity of my opinions, go right ahead. You can start by justifying the use of all these stats as proxies for both academics and reputation. Right now, I don't really care about any of them, but maybe you can convince me otherwise.
