My number one was Phoenix, Arizona. Ironic how somebody on the forum yesterday told me Phoenix is the right city for me.

Default the Hill Country

is an extremely quaint, relaxing, pleasant area. I'm not just saying that because my family is from there either. I lived in Fredericksburg in the late 90s and really enjoyed it. It is just an hours drive to Austin or San Antonio. Boerne, a slightly larger small town, is close by. If you can deal with heat and humidity it's a really nice area.

I did medium- and large-sized cities with no regional preference. I did not do small cities. Here's what I got:

1. Houston
2. Norfolk
3. Charleston, SC
4. Memphis
5. Orlando
6. Gainesville, FL
7. Jacksonville, FL
8. Knoxville, TN
9. Augusta, GA
10. Nashville
11. San Antonio
12. Austin
13. Tallahassee
14. Virginia Beach
15. Biloxi-Gulfport
16. Fort Worth
17. Athens, GA
18. Oklahoma City
19. Tampa
20. Charlotte
21. Hattiesburg
22. West Palm Beach
23. Cincinnati
24. Galveston

In bold are cities/metro areas I'd consider moving to (in Memphis' case, certainly just the metro area and not the city proper.)

I've taken this quiz like ten different times. While I have kept the same climate and housing price references, I've slightly changed my answers on arts and sports a few times (i.e. agree to strongly agree and vice versa.) I STILL get Houston at no lower than #4 every time. Houston is the city I want to move to the most, and I want to leave Kentucky...maybe this is a sign! My warm weather and arts and cultural tastes must always keep Kentucky cities off my list for some reason.

I'm thinking they send people to to cities that advertise on their site. I came up with Little Rock too and I checked all the "I hate hot weather" links. I even got AZ and I had checked that I hate the desert and love the ocean.

Go figure!
