I know people in different parts of the country use different words for the second person plural. What do you use? I wish we could find a way to come up with a standard one for all English speakers because without it you (or is it y'all ) can get into some ambiguous situations.
Just a side question....for second person plural posessive I tend to say "y'all's" is that grammatically incorrect? This person at work who is a stuck up Northeast princess tried to correct me on that though many of my friends say it too.
For example if you see another group of friends like 2-3 people and say where is y'all's car parked. I was born in Louisiana and live in Maryland now.

"Y'all" is simply a contraction of "you all", or "all of you". It's not so much incorrect as it is colloquial.
Second person plural should be one word, and not gendered. You guys shouldn't be considered acceptable as a second person plural, it's more like an improvisation in the absence of one.

if y'all's is simply the possessive form of y'all then yes it is correct.

But "you guys" is a commonly used and commonly accepted phrase for second person plural...?
