I think it does, only because there are cities and states in the country that have a high number or percentage of foregin born residents, thus don't really portray the "All-American" lifestyle (apple pie, etc). An example would be New York City, Miami, Los Angeles, Vegas, to name a few.
To be "All-American", one simply has to enjoy apple pie? Or is there something else to it?
There are plenty of deliciously depraved folks in all these apple pie-lovin' locales. They just have their benders & sex parties on the low (see: Ted Haggard), while still keeping up appearances on Sunday morning.

However, all states have a certain percentage of the population that is foreign born. Some states have a higher percentage than others. The states that have a very low percentage generally have little job growth, isolation, etc.
Yes because one needs to be wholesome to run around in funny underwear.

I view Utah/Salt Lake City more in this light, perhaps less sex parties. But it's all about keeping up appearances and being there Sunday morning.

LOL...not so much, though people are friendlier here. The, ahem, "lower classes" tend to be pretty much the same in everything but physical appearance.
