There are plenty of deliciously depraved folks in all these apple pie-lovin' locales. They just have their benders & sex parties on the low (see: Ted Haggard), while still keeping up appearances on Sunday morning.

However, all states have a certain percentage of the population that is foreign born. Some states have a higher percentage than others. The states that have a very low percentage generally have little job growth, isolation, etc.

I view Utah/Salt Lake City more in this light, perhaps less sex parties. But it's all about keeping up appearances and being there Sunday morning.
